Mother dies, daughter in critical condition following road accident within Siaton center

A mother died while her daughter in critical condition after the latest vehicular accident took place within Siaton's busy center street, afternoon of May 5th (Monday).

The victims were reportedly riding on a passenger motorcycle (locally called "habal-habal") when a speedy pick-up vehicle hit them. 

Perceiving the approaching danger, the mother purportedly threw her little daughter towards the street corner. It was a helpless effort of a mother trying to save her child from a possible untimely demise.

While both the motorcycle driver and the child were saved, the mother must have been badly injured that she died instantly from the impact.

Authorities found out that the casualty was a resident of Sumaliring Beach. Her identity is remained undisclosed in respect to the grieving family.

This is already the second, worst road accident involving death, which happened within the central road of Siaton. 

Last month, a resident from Poblacion, Siaton was likewise killed after being inadvertently hit and dragged by a passenger bus along a residential street in town.

While safety has to be every driver’s top priority while driving on the road, the public also wants to see actions from the local government unit (Siaton LGU) to put a halt on such tragedies, especially these did happen within the town's central vicinity.
