President Noynoy Aquino recently confessed that his wealth's figure has augmented with approximately ₱1.3 million, as manifested in his statement of assets, liabilities and net-worth (SALN) for last year.

The president's 2013 SALN is already forwarded to the Office of the Ombudsman and is set to be publicized tomorrow, Saturday, 3rd of May, 2014.

"Na-isumite na raw at...Of course, hindi ako personally ang nagdadala sa Ombudsman nito. So ni-report ng aking nautusan na nai-submit na nga at tumaas ng by --- if I am not mistaken --- P1.3 million. Primarily interest income raw. Na cash on-hand earns interest at that interest...Kasi parang iyong expenses iyong...I tried iyong...talk to my sisters, for instance, sinubukan ko na di ba," President Noynoy said.

Last year, the president's wealth was purportedly around ₱65.13 million and this year it becomes ₱66.43 million.

President Aquino said the grounds of such rise on his wealth came from his money's interests. He further explicated that ever since he became the nation's president, he divested on business investments that’s why the upturn is not really that much.

The president also disclosed that the last SALN he will submit before leaving his presidential post in 2016 will manifest a significant decline because he still has to recompense his siblings, who helped him out in his entire presidential campaign.
