Latest update on the previously reported MERS-CoV infected Filipina nurse working in Saudi Arabia says the patient is now dead.

In the most recent update, the OFW nurse from the province of Negros Occidental has died, several days after she was quarantined in a hospital and monitored for potentially accumulating the  Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Corona Virus (MERS-CoV) infection.

The Pinay nurse reportedly got the infection from other MERS-CoV patient while she was working on duty in a known medical complex, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Local reports further said the patient's husband, who's currently residing in Bacolod City, has confirmed to a relative reporter that his wife has died at around 11:00 in the morning of May 7th, 2014 (Saudi Arabia Time).

According to the husband, his wife had previously been placed under observation in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of King Fahd Medical City in Riyadh for several days, due to suspected MERS-CoV infection.

The said Pinay nurse had also been known to work in that same hospital, which is purportedly deemed among the biggest and advanced medical complexes in the Middle East.

The patient's husband is now reportedly set to travel to Saudi Arabia, to process some documents and to finally bring his wife's corpses back home.
