Cagayan de Oro City - One official from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Region recently died from heat stroke.

Pertinent reports have identified the victim in the person of Dante Maape, who was purportedly designated under the Land Evaluation Department in the region.

Prior to his demise, Maape's group was tasked to conduct some evaluations at Barangay Kisolon, a village in Bukidnon, when he passed out and eventually died.

Initial reports have said the temperature was extremely high (at around 33 degree Celcius) when Maape's group head out to the said village to conduct an evaluation. Local health authorities therefore believed it was the reason why Maape passed out and far along, passed away.
