Another Filipina has just marked yet another notable achievement for the Philippines and is now set to open a new exciting chapter of her global music career, after passing the most recent blind audition of the world's most popular singing competition 'The Voice' Australia.

Blind audition is the first stage of the aforesaid reality singing competition.

Jhoanna Aguila, a 24-year-old pure-blooded Filipina based in Sydney, Australia has won the hearts of three of the four 'The Voice' Australia judges, with her soulful rendition of "Florence & The Machine song "You've Got The Love."

Impressed with the Pinay's performance, the three judges including Will.I.Am, Joel Madden and Kylie Minogue turned their chairs just before the Pinay performer ended her song.

Will.I.Am then asked Aguila if she is a Filipino and the latter answered "yes."

The seven-time Grammy Awards winner then told Aguila about his Filipino friend, referring to the half-blooded Pinoy international music icon, Apl.de.ap.

And perhaps to further convince Aguila to join his team, Will.I.Am further said:

You were sent here and I’m supposed to work with you for the Filipino people."

In a quick onstage chitchat with the judges, Jhoanna said she quit her full-time job in order to focus on her music career. According to the Pinay aspirant, she's greatly inspired by the notable musical works of Norah Jones, Lauren Hill and Alicia keys.

Jhoanna has purportedly started her music career as a worship leader at a local parish. And as her regular music gig/exposure, Jhoanna performs at charity events, community programs and weddings.

In the end, Jhoanna has decided to pick and join Will.I.Am's team.

“I have to choose Will.I.Am,” said Aguila.

Jhoanna Aguila, the new Filipina entrant to world's renowned singing competition The Voice Australia was accompanied by her parents Sylvette and Marc during the blind auditions.
