After achieving his latest triumph against Alvarado, will Juan Miguel Marquez still be keen on fighting Manny Pacquiao again?

Juan Miguel "El Dinamita" Marquez has won against Mike Alvarado via unanimous decision during their ring bout held Saturday night (Sunday-Manila time) at The Forum, Inglewood, California.

Ring judges have scored the fight 117-109, 117-109 and 119-108, all in favor of Marquez.

Marquez, in his post-fight interview with the press, said Alvarado's strength is one reason why he was prudent all throughout their fight. And yet by using his full agility and combined skills, he was able to beat Alvarado in the end.

"I always said Alvarado was strong. I expected this fight," said Marquez.

Alvarado on the other hand, has openly accepted his defeat and said, "He (Marquez) fought a good fight. It was a great experience. All hats off to him."

The two boxers both have been knocked down in the previous rounds as they exchanged strong punches.

Alvarado was down in the 8th round following a combo fist from Marquez but immediately stood back up.

In the 9th round, Alvarado threw a powerful punch in retort to Marquez, resulting the Mexican boxer to fall down in some instance.

But despite all prior efforts he exerted, Alvarado has failed to trounce Marquez in the end.

Meanwhile, when asked about the possibility of having yet another rematch with Manny Pacquiao, Marquez replied he isn't yet thinking of it.

“We’ll relax. I don’t know at the moment,” answered Marquez through a translator when asked by HBO’s Max Kellerman about Pacquiao.

“Any decision I make will be the best for me, my family, and the fans,” Marquez added.

After the 40-year-old Mexican boxer posted a convincing unanimous victory against Alvarado, a common thought of Pacquiao-Marquez part 5 lives again.

This is by far the first come-back of Marquez at The Forum after 13 years of laying low.
