Google Nexus 5 Wi-Fi Settings Configuration

To turn on/off Wi-Fi on your Google Nexus 5 smartphone, you need to go to the Wi-Fi settings menu. This is also where you set up and connect to an available Wi-Fi network and configure advanced Wi-Fi settings option. This guide is intended for those who need help in accessing and/or configuring Wi-Fi settings on the Nexus 5.



A. Standard Wi-Fi Settings

Here's how to get to the Nexus 5 Wi-Fi settings menu.

1. Touch on the Apps menu from the Home screen.

2. Touch to select Settings.

3. Touch on Wi-Fi option to configure settings.

B. Advanced Wi-Fi Settings configuration

The Advanced Wi-Fi settings menu is where you can set up and manage wireless access points on your Google Nexus 5 handset. Here's how to get there:

1. Touch on the Apps menu from the Home screen.

2. Touch to select Settings to continue.

3. Touch Wi-Fi.

4. Select Advanced to configure advanced options including the following:

  • ·         Network Notification
  • ·         Keep Wi-Fi On during sleep
  • ·         Scanning Always Available
  • ·         Avoid poor connections
  • ·         Wi-Fi frequency band
  • ·         Install certificates
  • ·         Wi-Fi optimization
  • ·         MAC address
  • ·         IP address

 5. Connect and test Wi-Fi.
