PRC released June 2014 Agriculturist Board Exam result


MANILA, Philippines - The country's Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Monday, 9th of June, released the official result of the June 2014 Agriculturist Board Exam facilitated by the Board of Agriculture last June 1st, 2014.

From the 5, 022 exam-takers of this year's Agriculturist Licensure Examination, only 1, 808 have passed, according to PRC.

PAGASA issued latest tropical cyclone "Ester" warning


MANILA, Philippines - The recently monitored Low Pressure Area (LPA) in Northern Luzon has finally turned into a tropical depression as of mid-day Tuesday (June 10th), according to PAGASA.

As of 5AM of Tuesday morning, Ester is spotted based on satellite data at 190 kilometer northwest of Laoag City or around 150 kilometers northwest of Calayan Island.

Senator Miriam Santiago left ICC


Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago has finally left her post, as one of the judges in the International Criminal Court (ICC).

On her letter to the ICC president Song Sang-Hyun, Santiago said her main reason for leaving her job is due to health issue, particularly her chronic fatigue syndrome. Such condition is purportedly one main reason as to why the senator is seldom seen in Congress sessions these recent days.

"Pursuant to my commitment, I hereby confirm that the court should proceed on the basis that I am stepping down as elected judge," Sen. Santiago said.

In 2011, Miriam Santiago was nominated as one of the judges of the ICC that is based in The Netherlands.
