Enable USB tethering in Samsung Galaxy Note 3 [Here's how]

One way to share internet connection from your mobile device to a computer or laptop is through USB tethering. In this regard, you will need a functional USB cable and computer.

Follow the steps below to share your Galaxy Note 3's Internet connection with another devices.


1. Start by connecting your Samsung Galaxy Note 3 to the computer using a USB cable.

2. Tap on the Apps icon to continue.

3. Tap on Tethering and portable hotspot option from the next screen.

4. Tap on USB tethering box and you should see your phone is now tethered.

Hint:

You can view the Tethering status on top of the mobile screen, represented by a trident icon on the upper-left corner of the screen.

After you've tethered your mobile phone, proceed with setting up a home network on the computer.

1. Wait for the device drivers to install on the computer and then click Home network to get started.

2. Wait for the computer to automatically apply the settings and connects to the network. Just look on the progress bar.

3. Click on Close once setup is complete.

Important Note:

The USB Tethering option will only display when your Galaxy Note 3 is connected to a computer using a USB cable. Also, you will not be able to use any application or function of the phone when it is tethered with another device.

You may now connect to the Internet on your computer using your phone's Internet connection.
