According to PAGASA in today's weather bulletin issued at 4:00AM, Thursday (Sept. 4th), the LPA has already made a landfall in the vicinity of Casiguran, Aurora. The weather agency however clarified that not only Luzon will experience heavy rains today but also forecasted rainfalls to prevail in Visayas and Mindanao due to local thunderstorms.

PAGASA has particularly stated the entire Luzon, Visayas and regions of Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, and Caraga region to experience rainshowers and thunderstorms.

While the current LPA has made its landfall, PAGASA is also keeping an eye on yet another stronger low pressure area approaching PAR and is currently in the Pacific ocean. The new LPA is expected to become another tropical cyclone, which will be named Karding by then.

As estimated based on satellite data, the new LPA is at 770 kilometers east of Virac, Catanduanes, as of 4:00AM, Thursday.

In line with this, the Philippine weather agency is reminding the public to be always vigilant, for possible occurrence of flash floods or land slides due to consistent rainfalls since the past weekend.
