ANew LPA affecting Visayas regions; may likely turn into a tropical depression

The country's weather bureau (PAGASA) has issued its latest weather advisory pertaining to the recently approaching low pressure area (LPA) to likely become a new tropical depression, which can possibly make a landfall in the exgtreme parts of Northern Luzon.

The LPA was lately spotted in an estimated distance of 770 kilometers east of Borongan, Eastern Samar , in coordinates (11.5ºN, 133.4ºE) as of 4:00 AM Monday.



When it reaches the cyclone level, it will be named tropical depression Kanor.

In line with this PAGASA forecasts, regions of CARAGA, Visayas and Northern Mindanao, including Zamboanga Peninsula to experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms. Metro Manila and the remaining parts of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with moderate to heavy rainfalls and thunderstorms especially in the afternoons and evening.

Slow to moderate winds are expected to prevail from northeast to southeast of Luzon and from the southwest to west over and Mindanao. Coastal waters throughout the archipelago are expected to be slight to moderate.
