What is Ebola?

Ebola virus disease or Ebola hemorrhagic is classified under rare but considered one of the deadliest diseases known to man. People infected with Ebola virus will experience bleeding inside and outside the body.

As the virus spreads throughout the body, the immune system and major body organs are damaged, causing levels of blood-clotting cells to drop. When this happens, the patient is at high risk of having severe and uncontrollable bleeding.

Serious Ebola cases have been recorded in Central and West Africa. Approximately 90% of infected people have been killed.
